Sprig + Fern’s G.O.A.T Gets A Little G.O.A.T-er

The beer that Sprig + Fern Brewing Co. have dubbed their ‘greatest of all time’ has just become a little greater, claiming a Top 30 award at the New World Beer & Cider Awards.

The G.O.A.T Doppelbock is the highest-awarded beer produced by the Richmond-based brewery, having now claimed a massive fifteen medals and awards at leading national and international beer competitions. Today’s Top 30 win is its fifth appearance in the New World Beer & Cider Awards, with an earlier Top 30 win in 2019, and Highly Commended awards in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

Needless to say, the Sprig + Fern team are delighted with the result, including Marketing + Communications Executive, Daniel Tipping, who recently oversaw a redesign of the beer’s artwork:

“I’d been wanting to update the label of The G.O.A.T for a while. We have this high-ABV, ultra-premium, multi-award-winning brew – when I pick up a can or bottle of it I want to be wow-ed, and know straight away that I’m holding something special. I think this new design does just that.

“The timing was really fortunate too. I had this design made late last year, we were waiting for a reason to use it. What better way than with a Top 30 win at the New World awards. A nice bonus too – the Top 30 medal sticker fits the design pretty seamlessly!”

As a result of the win, The G.O.A.T Doppelbock will be available in 440ml cans at all New World stores nationwide throughout a promotional campaign running for four weeks from today. In many stores, it will be kept company by its larger sibling, a 888ml bottle.

The G.O.A.T Doppelbock will also be available on tap at all Sprig + Fern Taverns for a limited time from this Wednesday.
