Sprig + Fern Tawa Finalist for New Zealand’s Best Bar

Sprig + Fern Tawa has been announced as a finalist for Best Bar in the prestigious Hospitality New Zealand Awards for Excellence.

The list of finalists, revealed yesterday, marks another accolade for John and Rachel Sommerfield, who took home the title of Best Local for Sprig + Fern Berhampore at the 2023 awards.

Now, it’s their Tawa team being recognised – in only a little over a year after taking over the venue at 99 Main Road, Tawa.

In a social media post last night, John and Rachel described it as a “pinch us moment”.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony held on June 11 at the Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre. Tickets to attend are available now via the Hospitality New Zealand website.
