Sprig + Fern Brewing Co. is seeking a Warehouse Operator to play a key role in our team, ensuring our products reach the eagers arms of our customers safely, accurately and in a timely manner.

The role offers great variety, covering several areas within our operation – including warehousing, dispatch, merchandising and deliveries, with a supporting role to packaging. As such, the right person will be comfortable prioritising tasks, able to work both alone and within a team, and have an unmatched attention to detail, which will be a key component to success in this role.

Tasks include:

• Accurate receipt and orderly storage of products and materials
• Picking and dispatch of orders for customers and Taverns, and coordination with freight companies
• Loading and delivering orders to customers and Taverns in the Nelson-Tasman area
• Maintaining stock and dispatch records, with regular product rotation and stocktaking
• Use of a computerised keg tracking database
• Maintaining a high standard of tidiness, cleanliness, and general housekeeping
• Assisting in the packaging areas, and any other areas of the business as and when required

This is a physical role, with a lot of time on feet, lifting and shifting goods, and operating equipment. As such, strong health and safety awareness and a moderate level of fitness and mobility will be other key aspects of the role.

In addition, the applicant will bring to the role:

• Great time management, comfort in prioritising tasks and working under pressure
• A positive, can-do attitude and ability to work well as part of a team
• Computer literacy
• An eye for health and safety of themselves and others – whether operating equipment, moving goods or handling hazardous material
• A clean, full driving licence – with experience driving a manual vehicle essential
• A current forklift licence
• Eligibility to work within New Zealand either as a resident or by holding a current work visa
