Hi, we’re Craig, Wendy and ‘puplican’ Sparge. Our #bestlittlelocal oozes the charm and grace of the early Merivale estates, along with the classic Sprig + Fern appeal.

Here at Sprig + Fern Merivale we pride ourselves on a warm, inviting atmosphere everyone can enjoy. Our tavern offers fantastic facilities and areas to cater to your every need. During summer you can bask in the all day sunshine across our two decks, and when winter arrives, our tavern transforms into a warm respite from the cold. Inside, you’ll find a variety of seating options, from comfortable booths to bar leaners, and cosy corners including a sunroom and library.

We are proud to be a dog-friendly establishment, both indoors and outdoors, as long as our furry guests are well-behaved and leashed. And don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten about the little ones – we offer a range of board games suitable for kids and those who are young at heart. Our menu also caters to both dogs and kids with treats for the fur babies, and yummy meals and desserts for the children!

For the adults, we have a unique menu with your local pub favourites alongside brand new dishes by our new Head Chef. Of course, we have the full range of Sprig + Fern’s craft beer and cider on tap, alongside frequently changing limited release beers. We also have a wide variety of local and international wines and spirits, including an excellent range of gins. Our tap beers and meals are also available to takeaway! And don’t forget to sign up as a member to earn points on your purchases and receive specials on Members Night.

As for entertainment, keep up to date with our events on Facebook and Instagram. We host a popular Quiz Night fortnightly on Tuesday, a Comedy Club on the last Thursday of the month and every Sunday is Football Shirt Sunday. Throughout the year we also host Dog Day Out, Gin Tasting, Relive Live and more.
