Brewery Milestone Marked with a Milestone Brew

Sprig + Fern Brewing Co. is celebrating fifteen years of operation this Saturday, and has marked the occasion with a special, one-off limited release beer.

Available from today in extremely limited quantities is barrel-aged version of the multi-award-winning The G.O.A.T Doppelbock in a 500ml glass bottle.

Matured in an oak barrel for twelve months, Oud G.O.A.T Barrel-Aged Doppelbock is described as ‘serving a smorgasbord of enhanced aromatic and flavour notes – think a rich and buttery fruitcake, berries and raisins, oak and spice, all delivered over a sip that’s velvety, warming and contemplative’.

The release is a particularly fitting follow-up to the success of The G.O.A.T Doppelbock in 2024, which has claimed a string of major awards including a Top 30 at the New World Beer and Cider Awards, as well as a Best In Class trophy and gold medal at the Brewers Guild of New Zealand Beer Awards. The brew also claimed bronze medals at both the Australian International Beer Awards and Melbourne International Beer Competition.

The beer is available now from the online store, in leading stores nationwide, and in a small number of Sprig + Fern Taverns.
