Immediately following a successful two days at the Dunedin Craft Beer & Food Festival, the Sprig + Fern team were delighted to learn of a medal win for their Mango + Lime Cider.
The cider collected a bronze medal – it’s second in two consecutive years – at the NZ Fruit Wine & Cider Awards, held in Hawkes Bay at the Toi Toi Hawkes Bay Arts & Events Centre on Friday.
The Awards preceded the NZ Cider Festival, which alternates between Nelson and Hawkes Bay each year. The Sprig + Fern team were unfortunately unable to attend this year’s Festival or Awards, owing to a clash with the Dunedin event – but were delighted to learn of the award while enjoying a beer after day one of the event.
Mango + Lime Cider, which coincidentally was one of the best sellers of Sprig + Fern’s range at the Dunedin event, is made from an apple cider base with the sweetness of magdalena mango and the subtle zestiness of lime juice, to create a fresh, juicy and delicious fruit cider. Previously exclusive to Festivals, the cider now appears each summer in Sprig + Fern and Little Sprig Taverns, much to the delight of patrons.
Mango + Lime Cider is also available in 330ml six packs at stores across the country, as well as online.
