Following the success of Haze of the People, a beer with hops as chosen by the public, Sprig + Fern Brewing Co. are repeating this recipe for the aptly named ‘Haze of the People #2’.
A set of posts shared to the Brewery’s social media accounts this morning opened the submissions, which will be collated and fed back to the brewing team for inclusion in the hazy pale ale, currently planned for a December release.
The posts read:
“Y’all dreamed up a killer hop combination for Haze of the People – so let’s do it again! One small twist… this time we’re keen to use only New Zealand grown hops. So hmu, what hop combo is going in Haze of the People #2?”
The original Haze of the People, released in August, saw a hop combination of Citra®, Nectaron® and Nelson Sauvin™ – three varieties that were overwhelmingly the favourites amongst voters.
The beer was met with a very warm reception, achieving an average rating of 3.89 on Untappd, and sold out in Sprig + Fern and Little Sprig Taverns and stores within only a couple of weeks of release.
Those keen to share their input to Haze of the People #2 can do so via the Sprig + Fern Brewing Co. Facebook and Instagram pages, by commenting on posts or replying to various stories.
