After an award-winning run of dark beers, Sprig + Fern Brewing Co. are today dropping another – this one set to satisfy the stout lovers.
Black Tyre Stout is a beer that will be familiar for long-time patrons of the Sprig + Fern Taverns, having been a popular addition to the tap range many times over the years.
The limited release oatmeal stout is being re-released this winter at 4.7% ABV, and with tasting notes that describe the brew as ‘black in colour and true-to-style, stunningly toasty and slightly desserty, with hints of liquorice and a silky, somewhat dry finish’.
The beer is expected to receive a warm welcome, not just from those with fond memories of the beer, but following Sprig’s recent run of awards which saw major nods given to some of the brewery’s darker beers. This includes a Best In Class trophy at the Brewer’s Guild of NZ Beer Awards for The G.O.A.T Doppelbock, as well as gold awards for Monumental American Brown Ale, Best Bitter, Smoked Bock, and Lock, Bock and Barrel.
Black Tyre Stout is available from today at all Sprig + Fern Taverns. You’ll also find it in dozens of off-premise locations nationwide, which can be found on a map at the Stockists page of the Sprig + Fern website.
