Hard Seltzer & Brown Porter of the Year Highlights from Melbourne

Sprig + Fern Brewing Co. has followed their successful run of awards from the Melbourne International Beer Competition, claiming medals for all seven beverages entered in 2024.

This includes two major awards for Grown Up Lemonade and Grizzly Porter, which won Hard Seltzer of the Year and Brown Porter of the Year, respectively.

In addition, Broken Axe Scotch Ale claimed a gold medal, Grizzly Porter, Grown Up Lemonade and Norty Porter won silver, while Best Bitter, Grown Up Ginger Beer and The G.O.A.T Doppelbock were recognised with a bronze medal.

The Richmond brewery entered these Awards for the first time in 2023, and subsequently claimed New Zealand Brewery of the Year alongside another six medals for individual brews.

The wins come hot off the back of a terrific showing at the Brewer’s Guild of New Zealand Beer Awards, where Sprig + Fern once again claimed a medal for every beer entered, including a Best In Class trophy for The G.O.A.T Doppelbock.
