Sprig + Fern Brewing Co. are celebrating after a finalist finish at last Friday night’s West Coast IPA Challenge.
The event, hosted by iconic Wellington venues The Malthouse and Fork & Brewer, saw thirty-one beers judged and scored by panels of esteemed brewers and industry figures. Sprig + Fern entered the competition with Tank Tetris, a 6.4% West Coast IPA containing a mixture of stardard and CRYO™ versions of popular American hop varieties.
The beer was well received at judging and the public event, earning it a top six finalist placing.
As a result, the Sprig + Fern packaging team will this week be prioritising additional packaging of the beer in to kegs, cans and bottles ahead of a wider launch this Wednesday.
Tank Tetris WCIPA will be on tap at nine of the fifteen Sprig + Fern Taverns, alongside other on-premise venues. Additionally, 440ml cans and 888ml bottles are available now to pre-order online and will be on supermarket and liquor store shelves from this Wednesday. Having made finalist in the Challenge, the beer will also feature alongside another twelve winning, finalist or commended beers from the event, in a limited-edition Beer Hug mixed box. The box is available to purchase now from the Beer Hug website.
