Trophy Winning Lock, Bock & Barrel Back For A Victory Lap

Sprig + Fern’s latest award-winning brew, Lock, Bock & Barrel, has been made available on tap at all Sprig + Fern Taverns for a limited time.

The return of the previously limited release beer follows a major win at the Brewers Guild of New Zealand Beer Awards 2023 recently. The traditional bock scooped the trophy and sole gold medal for the Amber/Dark Lager category at the awards ceremony, held in Wigram, Christchurch on August 5.

Daniel Tipping, Marketing + Communications Executive at Sprig + Fern Brewing Co., says:

“We were really fortunate in that, at the award ceremony, they had Lock, Bock & Barrel available on tap – so we got to celebrate with a glass of our newest award-winner, right after it happened. It was a reminder for our team that it really is a sensational drop.

“We like to call it a great showcase of both light and dark beer, it has a few notable characteristics of each. But those wanting to see for themselves will need to get in to a Tavern and try it quickly, we don’t have much of it!”

Lock, Bock & Barrel is available from today at any of the fourteen Sprig + Fern or Little Sprig Taverns in Wellington, Nelson, Tasman or Christchurch. A very small number of 440ml cans are also available, exclusively through the Sprig + Fern online shop or cellar door.
