As a major fundraiser for the Nelson Tasman Hospice, we were more than happy to be involved with Dancing for a Cause 2023 as a bronze sponsor.

As exclusive beer and cider sponsor, we supplied a range of beer and cider for the big night in May.

In addition, we were the individual sponsor behind Ben Douglas – part-owner of Sprig + Fern Tahuna – who absolutely nailed his performance on the night!

We’re delighted to be a gold-level partner of the NBS Nelson Giants for the 2023/2024 NZNBL seasons.

As long-time fans, supporters, and – most recently – Beer & Cider Sponsor of the Giants, stepping up our support to gold-level seemed a simple choice.

Spectators throughout the season will be able to enjoy a range of Sprig + Fern core range beer and cider at home games, including Berry Cider, Chasing Hazy, Nectaron Pale Ale, Fern Lager and Wingmate.

Located only a few minutes from the Brewery amongst the busy Saxton sports grounds, you’ll find Nelson Hockey and their two playing turfs.

Our signage sit proudly courtside, and our award-winning craft beers and ciders on tap to provide the perfect post-match refreshment.

Nothing beats a cold beer after an exhilarating ride – and given we serve exactly that in Sprig + Fern Taverns, a partnership with NMTBC was a no-brainer.

We’ve been involved with the Club for many years, most recently as bronze sponsor. That means, as well as supporting the Club, you’ll often find Sprig + Fern beer and cider being enjoyed, or as prizes, at NMTBC events.

Sprig + Fern Milton Street also offer NMTBC members food and drink specials every Wednesday between 6pm-9pm.

Given our brewing team is filled with football lovers, partnering with the club who’s based only a stone’s throw from the Brewery made Richmond FC an obvious match.

We’re delighted to be the major sponsor of the Club, and to be serving a range of beer and cider at the clubrooms. You’ll also find our logo throughout the clubrooms, on some of the playing uniforms, plus some of the Sprig + Fern Taverns also sponsor teams!

It’s a spacious venue with a stellar view, and makes an ideal location for a function. To ensure both members and guests are able to enjoy excellent lager, cider and more, we’re happy to support Tasman Bay Cruising Club.

You’ll find our products behind the bar, and you may find it’s a Sprig + Fern umbrella keeping the sun out of your eyes!

We’ve also supported various Club events in the past, including their popular regatta in the summer.

With a climate that lends itself so perfectly to road racing, supporting cycling in the region we call home is something we’re only too happy to do.

You’ll often find members of Tasman Wheelers enjoying a nice post-ride refreshment at one of the Sprig + Fern Taverns – and our beer and cider being enjoyed, or as prizes, at various events.

To keep runners motivated at a time of year when sitting inside seems the sensible option, we’re delighted to support the Sprig + Fern 10K Series, hosted each year by Waimea Harriers.

Starting near one of the Tasman-based Sprig + Fern Taverns, participants follow a 10 kilometre route, ending at the Tavern right in time for some well-earned refreshments.

Our support extends to social sports too – so we’re proud to be the naming rights and major sponsor of Walking Football, which embodies just that.

Walking Football Nelson encourage all ages to reap the mental and physical health benefits of being involved in active sport again – and are as much about the social aspect and the after match.

We are a Brewery after all, and our beer is best enjoyed socially!
