Sprig + Fern Thorndon is a hub for craft beers and a community base for regulars and newcomers alike.

Alongside beer, wine and spirits sits a range of food designed to be enjoyed amongst friends, with specials across the week – a burger deal on Monday, pizza on Wednesday and fish and chips on Thursday, with free bar snacks between 4pm and 6pm on Friday.

For entertainment, you can’t go past a Quiz Night every Tuesday.

Hosted by Colin Mallon, an ex-pat Scotsman, now Kiwi, who is well established in the craft beer scene after some twenty years at the helm of well-known venues including The Malthouse and Fork & Brewer.

As well as a reputable history in hospitality, Colin is also a beer judge both in NZ and internationally, having judged at the likes of the Australian International Beer Awards and World Beer Cup – alongside Sprig + Fern’s master brewer, Tracy Banner, on many occasions!
