Sprig + Fern Petone is set in the historic Raynor & Woodward
hardware store building, which dates back well over a century. You’ll
find lots of exposed brickwork inside, with the old sarking retained
around the fireplace to pay tribute to the building’s history.

What that’s left us with is a warm, comfortable and homely interior,
perfect for a proper pint amongst some proper conversation.

Petone has a massive twenty taps, allowing for the full range of Sprig + Fern craft beer and cider, with three spare taps to showcase an ever-changing range of limited and seasonal releases.

Alongside beer, wine and spirits sits a food menu of sharing plates
and pizza, and you’re never short of entertainment with a Quiz Night
every Tuesday at 7pm, a DJ playing vinyl on Friday night, live music on
Saturday night and a Sunday afternoon Vinyl Club.

Your hosts Ian and Annette met in Australia, which quickly turned
into twelve years travelling and working in various bars, restaurants
and hotels around the world. After eventually returning to Aotearoa,
they were told without hesitation that ‘Sprig + Fern’ was the best local
bar, so they popped in for a pint and never left.
