Sprig + Fern Brewing Co.'s aptly named The G.O.A.T Doppelbock has reached new heights on the international stage, winning Gold and being named New Zealand Country Winner at the prestigious World Beer Awards in the United Kingdom.

Having earned a Silver medal at the World Beer Awards last year, The G.O.A.T Doppelbock has gone one better in 2026, taking out Gold in its category and securing the title of New Zealand Country Winner. The World Beer Awards celebrate the very best beers from around the globe, making this achievement one of the most significant accolades yet for both the brewery and the beer itself.

For Sprig + Fern Brewing Co., the result represents another major milestone in the remarkable journey of a beer that has become one of New Zealand's most awarded craft brews.
