Hints of chocolate, coffee and liquorice abound in the medium bodied dark ale. With a rich texture and a velvety smooth finish, this Porter is best enjoyed at 6-8°C
We use five speciality malts in addition to a Pale base malt. This beer is best consumed at 6-8°C, because at the right temperature, the Porter will deliver an fine array of flavours such as coffee, licorice, caramel and chocolate which derive from the use of Crystal, Caramalt and Chocolate malts.
Fermentation takes place at 18°C over 5-6 days and is very strictly controlled with daily checks on temperature, gravity, taste and pH levels to ensure the finest results.
Hints of chocolate and coffee abound in the medium bodied dark ale. With a rich texture and a velvety smooth finish, this Porter is best enjoyed at around 6-8°C.
Our Porter is made with only natural ingredients: malts, hops, water and yeast. It contains no additives.
Porter is available in 1.3L PET riggers online, in supermarkets and liquor outlets; and in kegs for cafes and bars.
Brewed as an English Best Bitter style, the combination of five malts gives Sprig & Fern's British Best the ideal balance of malt sweetness. The addition of Crystal and Caramalt provides well rounded toffee and biscuit characteristics.
